Education has been described as a panacea for human capital development in our society. This disclosure was made over the weekend at the Annual Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation Scholarship Scheme at Oraifite Boy's Secondary School, Oraifite, Prize/Award Giving Day, Dame Irene Nneka Okwuosa Memorial Convent all in Oraifite by Sir. Azuka Okwuosa, Anambra South APC Senatorial Aspirant who is also the Director-General of Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation.

Hon. Okwuosa at the event noted that education should be a universal right of every child and not a privilege. He frowned at the negligence and nonchalant attitudes towards education by the government and the other wealthy individuals in the society.

According to Okwuosa, inconsistency and less care approach by the society especially from the government is the cause of the deterioration, pitiable and regrettable state we found our educational system today. He maintained that Government all levels should come up with a clear Policy on Education for self reliance.

In order to reinstall a vibrant school system, revive reading culture among students and to encourage the best students to keep excelling in their various subjects, Sir Azuka Okwuosa stated that the Foundation has made it an annual routine to assist schools and students in Oraifite community. ''We are out to encourage the best students and inspire others to sit up through our various cash/award prizes and scholarship schemes", He said.

Sir Okwuosa later presented cash prizes worth over 2 million naira to the students and Teachers at those various Schools who excelled mainly in science subjects, English Language, Mathematics and Igbo Language from J.S.S 1 to S.S 3 and to school management for infrastructural development.

The school's annual award and other humanitarian services which the Emeka Okwuosa Foundation gives is a way of giving back to the society by the Okwuosa dynasty having been blessed so richly by God. This, Hon. Sir. Azuka Okwuosa said the family will continue to do for a very long time to come.

At Dame Irene Nneka Okwuosa named after their mother, Okwuosa Foundation is building a beautiful three Storey building at the School. The Foundation was laid last week and work is in progress. This is really Charity they say, begins at home.

The students, School Authorities and Parents were full of happiness. They prayed and thanked Okwuosa Family for what they are doing in Oraifite. Many of them expressed Joy and Happiness over the gestures.
