Education & Gender Equality

Since 2011, SEOF has supported over 1,500 young talents at Secondary School level through our scholarship program, annual prize- giving ceremony, provision of high-quality educational tools. In 2013, SEOF built an All Girls Secondary school in Oraifite, Anambra State. The 600 student capacity schooled, called The Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Convent affords young girls from all over Nigeria access to quality education in a constantly competitive world. We have scaled a new form of economic development by collaborating with local universities, education think-tanks/VTE institutions in also offering skills-based training and connecting students in 2 tertiary institutions across the South East & South South to future-focused opportunities and Informal careers. We organized career workshops and symposiums that engaged girls with potential and emerging career paths in Technology and Engineering.

Notable Achievements

In 2011 SEOF:
