Ezulike Chioma Favour has a clear goal: to become a medical doctor and study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). But her ambitions don’t stop there. She also plans to run a mini salon on campus, offering hair and nail services to support herself and build entrepreneurial skills while in school.

A student of Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Convent in SS2, Chioma is a driven young woman from Anambra State, determined to build a future that reflects her hard work and vision.

The Fabian and Patricia Okonkwo Scholarship has played a critical role in helping her pursue that future.

“The scholarship has really helped my family,” Chioma says. “It made it easier for my siblings to get school supplies, and now we’re saving toward my university education. My dad has been working so hard, and this support has taken a big load off his shoulders.”

With the weight of financial pressure eased, Chioma has been able to focus more on her studies. The scholarship has not only kept her in school but also sharpened her academic competitiveness and self-confidence.

“It’s made me a better student,” she reflects. “It reminds me that someone believes in me so I have to keep pushing.”

Chioma’s story is one of resilience, ambition, and gratitude. Her journey is a shining example of how the Fabian and Patricia Okonkwo Scholarship is not just funding education, it’s building futures, nurturing dreams, and empowering the next generation of changemakers.
